“We were looking for a carvery and was recommended The Forge by a friend. First time here and they did not disappoint! The meats and veg were lovely, generous portions and cooked well. The puddings were astounding, I had the brownie and ice cream, it was unreal! Just look at that presentation, it made me say "wow" when the waitress brought it over. We had 2 drinks 2 meals and 2 puddings all for £37, I think that's an insanely good price! The atmosphere was really nice as well, we had a great night, thanks! 5/5* would 100% recommend!”

“I very rarely give 5* stars to eateries but The Forge simply deserves it! I’ve eaten in a lot of places during my travels around the UK and I cannot think of another eatery where you get this kind of value for money. A full roast for a tenner!? In 2025! Yes. £10 gets you a choice of 3 meats (or a little of each) which is provided by a member of staff. You are then free to help yourself to as much veg, gravy and sauces as you like. You can even go back for seconds (no meat though). I specifically attended for the roast so have to admit that I’m not sure what their other food costs as I simply didn’t look at the menu! But I have to imagine other dishes are also reasonably priced. So if you’re in the area and looking for great value for your money, and great tasting food, I think you’re going to be hard pressed to find a better place to”

“A fantastic dinner with my family this evening. Sharing starter of garlic bread, mushrooms, spicy chicken, onion rings and hummus with a small salad garnish, followed by a brilliant carvery, turkey and gammon for us. The veg selection was excellent. Mint chic sundaes dor the kids to finish. Doom Bar on draught was well kept. All at extremely reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend and definitely be going again!”

“The forge is a gorgeous restaurant clean tidy and decorated beuitful the staff are very accommodating massive car park around the back backing onto fields where horses are grazing they have a outside dinning area where we offen sit after a piping hot carvery the meat is so tender it melts in your mouth Turkey,gammon,beef and at least 12 vegetables and cheesy mash is to die for and lashes of gravy .have been here a fair few times now and we wouldn't go anywhere else it's a bit of a drive but well worth it thank you for a great dinning experience again and see you again soon ”

“Lovely place to have a carvery. Nice tasty food and a great selection of veggies available. I do like the artwork and interesting arty feel of the place. The toilets were clean and very fresh smelling which is a bonus. I would definitely recommend and I’m sure we will be back again. :)”
